We’re back on Bruny Island for Project Alonnah, our second build on the island and a two-storey shed home our clients are planning to retire in.
Slab day highlights:
As Zak puts it: “300 square metres isn’t a small slab by any means, but the team have managed to get this in flawlessly.”
Alonnah is a little different from our usual work. Instead of the stick framing we’d typically use, it’s a prefabricated shed system that we’ll line out internally to turn into a home.
Zak sees more clients looking at this approach: “We’ve got clients now looking towards different ways of construction. Shed home construction is a great way to speed up the process while also managing some costs as well.”
We start construction on the slab next week, and we’ll share updates all the way through to completion.
