Progress is moving quickly at our Oldham Road project, a collaboration with AKA Architects delivering a high-performing detached extension for our clients.
Watch the video below:
Andrew and Kyle from AKA Architects have been great to work with on this one, helping design a structure built for long-term performance. The team has built in a cavity batten detail using Bradford insulation and a Proctor wrap, with a drainage batten at the base to manage condensation and keep good ventilation running through the space. It's a good example of how even a small structure can be built to last.
This week marked a big step forward, with window installation now complete and the cladding almost finished. The project is moving into the fit-out stage next, where the team will install architrave and skirting, finish the toilet area, and add a deck that ties into the existing part of the home.
This detached extension is a great example of clients investing in the home they already have rather than moving elsewhere, and the finished result is shaping up to sit as if it was always meant to be there.
We look forward to sharing the finished project soon.
