Originally finished in painted concrete brick, this bathroom presented a cold and commercial vibe that felt entirely disconnected from the warm, character-filled charm of the country home.
The team at Nomac Built undertook a complete overhaul of the space as a part of the Hobart bathroom renovation project, reworking the layout and selections to align with the home’s style and create a more inviting, functional room.
The dividing wall between the old toilet and shower areas was removed to enhance the flow and openness of the space.
A new window was installed at the foot of the bath, framing the stunning views of the Huon Valley, while all existing windows were upgraded to double-glazed aluminium for improved comfort and performance. A 1200mm-high nib wall and a curved-edge glass screen now define the walk-in shower, providing privacy without compromising the sense of space.
This bathroom showcases a custom-built 1400mm solid Tasmanian Oak vanity, wall-hung with soft-close drawers, crafted by a local joiner.
The ribbed mushroom matte basin from Harpers Bathrooms is complemented by brushed nickel Phoenix Cromford tapware throughout, including the basin, bath, and shower set.
The Aria arch mirror shaving cabinet (800 x 1200) in brushed brass is wall-mounted, adding a soft, curved feature above the vanity. A Phoenix Cromford rail shower and overhead rose complete the walk-in shower, which is defined by clean lines and thoughtful detailing.
