This upper floor ensuite in Birchs Bay needed more than a refresh - it needed a rethink.
The existing layout had the ensuite accessed exclusively through the walk-in robe, which created a clunky flow and made the adjoining spare room feel cut off. The bathtub was taking up valuable space without earning its keep. So we stripped it back and started fresh.
We reduced the ensuite footprint to create a more functional, well-proportioned wet area, and used the reclaimed space to expand the adjoining office and spare room - giving that part of the home a much better sense of proportion. A new direct access point into the ensuite replaced the old walk-in robe entry, making the whole upper floor work the way it should.
Fixtures and fittings were supplied through ABI Interiors, with tiling by Tas Tiling using Rosetto tiles throughout. Allsouth Plumbing handled the plumbing works, with electrical by Rock Electrical. The client completed the painting themselves.
The result is a tighter, smarter use of space - with quality finishes and a layout that actually suits the way the home is lived in.
